Aromatherapy and Children
In my experience as aromatherapy, I realized that most children are incredibly well to aromatherapy. They are refreshingly honest in their opinions and will quickly tell you if they do not like a special flavor! They also respond quickly to the benefits of the oils. It's as if because they have not been subjected to many toxins and chemicals that most of us have been exposed to years, your body has a clear reaction and fast.
However, there are certain precautions that apply specifically to children and should consider to keep our people highly uncertain.
- Never let the essential oil that children can access. They are best kept in a wardrobe of reach. A cool, dark place, it is also better for the oils themselves.
- Always buy essential oils in bottles with a built dripolator, instead of a pipette. A speed limit dripolator to which essential oils can out of the bottle, even when the lid is off, once the lid is removed from the pipette top of the bottle is completely open.
- Always consult an aromatherapy book written especially known for treating children or consult an aromatherapist before deciding which oils to use. Many oils essentials are simply too strong for children.
- Most recipes are designed for adults and also focuses on children. Always reduces the amount of essential oil recommended by at least half (or even for very small children – use of a quarter or less than the recommended dose). Remember, children respond so that even low dilutions – less is more.
- Never use essential oils mixed in a bathroom without a dispersant. Dispersants are simple whole milk (not light) or cream or honey. Combine the oil in a tablespoon of any of these before adding to the bath. If you add essential oils directly to a room bath, which float to the surface and can be picked up by little fingers find their way into the eyes or mouth. Essential oils can also be diluted in oil carrier / vegetable before adding to the bathroom. This is a good method for dry skin, but can make your tub slippery. What is the best method children and should be used carefully.
- Never using a spray bottle with a flame in nurseries or any place where children can reach them. It's much better to use a title = "View our range of electric vaporizers"> no electric water spray, which is not too hot and not will burn. Children should not be left unattended near them in cases involving oil and follow your skin.

title = "Learn more about lavender essential oil" Lavender> (Lavandula angustifolia) – A versatile oil, relaxation and softness. A fall mixture in a bowl with warm water is also useful for cuts and scrapes swimming mild.
title = "Learn more about Roman Chamomile Essential Oil" manzanilla> Roman (Anthemis nobilis) – the same plant used for chamomile tea, very relaxing and soothing.
Mandarin (Citrus reticulata) – a very sweet smell "Happy" citrus, something relaxing and soothing.
Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) – elevation, balance and cleaning oil.
Eucalyptus radiata Eucalyptus – Antiseptic and very useful for coughs and colds are around. A few drops in a spray bottle will help clean the air.
