EPDM Coatings
Rubber is the only material that people consider to be absolutely waterproof which has been shown to use in a wide range of boots, diving gloves suites. EPDM is an extremely durable, highly resistant to perforation or penetration, is not affected by pollution air, ozone, ultraviolet light, acid rain, and unlike most of bituminous materials, does not degrade, crack or become brittle after long periods exposed to the harsh conditions of the time.
Over the years, EPDM has proven its durability in the harshest of Arctic, temperate and tropical fact, the facilities built in the sixties still providing excellent performance to date! Properties EPDM
EPDM is a synthetic elastomer made by combining ethylene propylene diene monomer with a deputy. This polymer (when cross-linked) is a barrier against moisture very good, resistant to oxidation and degradation by ultraviolet rays, but its most important property is its ability to tolerate low and two high temperatures (at least 62 to over 350 degrees Fahrenheit). EPDM rubber is used exclusively for hoses, seals and the low temperature freezer, plumbing steam and rubber roofing membranes. There is also mixed with other rubbers to improve their properties, many products are better and last longer due to the contribution made by EPDM rubber.
EPDM is relatively inexpensive and can come in large rolls. Often, they require a large number of men crew or equipment mechanic to shoot and handle the materials. Is the joint work, and insights that are essential in this system, and gaskets, adhesives, and cover are very expensive and intermittent must be installed with great care and attention to detail. For example, the radiator hoses in our cars and joined the freezer doors are made of EPDM and show the wide range of temperatures the product can handle. EPDM membranes are also more than 30 years of history of success. EPDM is relatively inexpensive, easy to install, and very self to work, compared to conventional materials. It is the strong smell and smoke either. The product is very stable and fluid characteristics such as resistance to the resistance to the flexibility of EPDM, and chemical are determined by it.
The versatile membrane offers a variety of installation options, including fully respected, ballasted or mechanically to provide superior long-term time and have exceptional resistance to breakage. EPDM rubber is ideal for flatter roof problems. When leaks develop in an existing EPDM roof, the solutions are almost always simple. The typical life of a properly installed EPDM roof is 25 years or more.
