What are wall sconce lights?
The Wall sconce lights come in various shapes and sizes.They range from classic, vintage style lighting to the more contemporary and highly modernistic styles.
Wall sconce lighting fixtures specifications:
• Selecting a Wall sconce light for your home depends on the decor of the room you want to mount them in.
• The wall scones provide a pleasant form of reflected light that can be quite romantic and is also easy on the eyes.
• They are generally mounted on a plaque against a wall giving the wall surface a bit of a halo effect that many people find attractive.
• These wall scones are great to put up at places where you need some light but not a great deal of light.
Varieties of Wall sconce lighting fixtures available in the market:
English Tudor Style: This style of wall sconce is a narrow pleated fluted lampshade that points downwards from the wall like a faucet. This type of sconce can be used in places where you need dimmer light.
Sheffield Style: This is an ornamental style of wall sconce that looks like the antlers. The central plaque of this type of wall scones is usually of a sunray or sunburst design. The shades are usually tulip shaped with a tiny flared rim.
Colonial Style: A Colonial style sconce is popular for its shape that projects forth off the wall by an iron S shaped hook. The glass shade is suspended like the bud of a bluebell which makes it even more attractive.
Storybook Style: This is a beautiful style of wall sconce made out of cast iron or black metal. It has a yellow shade and a soft candle shaped bulb inside.
Craftsman Style: The Craftsman style is another much in demand wall scone. It is usually made out of black cast iron and is topped by a solid opaque white globe or variegated globe. These lights are very ideal for dim hallways and outdoor use.
Art Deco Style: These wall lights are elegant in shape and look like the back of hand mirrors. It holds the light bulb inside a frosted glass cup that is engraved with stylish designs.
Art Deco Porcelain: This type of wall scones sports a very rare look. This style was originated in Miami South Beach and is made of pure white porcelain.
